Roanne Sones, the Corporate Vice President of Microsoft, in a blog post ' Showcasing new computing possibilities at IFA' officially announced the name of next major feature update of Windows 10 which is going to release in the month of October 2018: As part of this commitment, I'm pleased to announce that our next feature update to Windows will be called the Windows 10 October 2018 Update. The users who are currently using Windows 10, will get this update as a free download. The version number of October 2018 will be 1809. Microsoft today announced that the official name of the next feature update of Windows 10 will be ' Windows 10 October 2018 Update', which was code named as 'Redstone 5 (RS5)'.
